Primary (3-6 years) Diploma Program

 

The AMI Montessori Diploma Course for Children’s House (3–6) at MTCNE is an in-depth and internationally recognized training program that prepares adults to guide young children during one of the most formative periods of their development. Rooted in the pedagogy of Dr. Maria Montessori and accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), this course equips educators to support the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of children ages 3 to 6.

This comprehensive program explores Montessori theory and practice through a rich blend of lectures, hands-on work with materials, classroom observations, and supervised teaching practice. Students gain the knowledge and skills to foster independence, concentration, empathy, and a love of learning in the child.

  • The Montessori philosophy and psychology of the 3–6 child

  • Exercises of Practical Life to promote independence and social skills

  • Sensorial education to refine the senses and support cognitive development

  • Spoken and written language, early literacy, grammar, and reading analysis

  • Development of the mathematical mind, including number, geometry, and operations

  • Observation techniques and their role in guiding children effectively

  • Classroom leadership, parent communication, and school operations

Earning the AMI Diploma

To receive the AMI Diploma, students must:

  • Complete all coursework, supervised practice, and material making

  • Submit original written albums

  • Successfully complete observation and teaching practicum

  • Pass both written and oral examinations administered by AMI-appointed examiners

  • Meet the minimum attendance and participation requirements
