Synchronous Coursework: This includes scheduled, real-time classes or sessions that you attend in-person or virtually. These sessions happen at set times and allow for live interaction with instructors and peers.
Asynchronous Engagement: This involves learning activities or materials that you access and complete on your own schedule – though within a certain pre-scheduled time period. There are no set times for these activities, so you can work through them at your convenience.



Course Overview
An in-depth study of Montessori pedagogy focusing on the developmental needs of children from three to six years of age. This comprehensive, hybrid program seamlessly blends theoretical online learning with essential, hands-on classroom practice. Students will work directly with authentic Montessori materials under the close supervision of trained AMI guides and Trainers at our satellite location in Ho Chi Minh City.
Flexible Hybrid Schedule (2026–2027)
Our carefully structured 16-month calendar is designed to accommodate working professionals through a balance of remote and in-person study:
- Online Sessions: Held in the evenings from 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM ICT, allowing you to balance your studies with daytime commitments.
- On-Site Practicums: Immersive, full-day blocks (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM ICT) dedicated to material practice, community building, and examinations.
- Fieldwork: Built-in periods for practical observation and teaching practice directly within active Montessori schools.

Shared Partnership
This training program is proudly delivered by the Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE) in partnership with the Montessori Vietnam Education Company (MVEC). MVEC is directly managing the application, admissions, and local enrollment process in Vietnam.
Criteria for Admission
Acceptance into the program is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s application packet and previous academic records.
1. Educational Standards
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum average G.P.A. of 3.0 (or equivalent).
- Or active enrollment in the University of Hartford bachelor’s degree program specializing in Montessori education or other University program (in Vietnam)
- PLEASE NOTE If you are interested in the training but do not know if you meet the standards above, be aware exceptions to these academic criteria will be considered on an individual basis. You should apply and if it is determined you do not meet the educational standarns a personal interview with the AMI Trainer will be required.
2. Candidate Suitability & Qualifications
