Supporting the Natural Development of the Will with Gretchen Hall

Short Description
The will is a psychic power that humans are not born with, but one that develops over time through experience following natural laws. The child’s development of will; therefore, is a gradual process that is dependent upon an environment that supports its growth. Unfortunately, misunderstandings abound regarding how best to support the will in children. It is widely believed that one must break the will in order to strengthen it, using various forms of controlling behaviors. Montessori offers another approach that is respectful to the child and that is grounded in an atmosphere of free choice. This webinar will discuss the necessary supports in the child’s environment to allow the will to develop naturally.
