Limitless Possibilities
Celebrating Milestones: Ariel Rice Shares Updates on Marriage and Montessori

We are delighted to catch up with alumnus Ariel Rice, who shares some wonderful personal news and professional updates with the MTCNE community.
Milestones & Career
It has been an exciting year for Ariel! On August 1st—marking their nine-year anniversary—Ariel and Amy tied the knot in a small, gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Saville Dam in Barkhamsted.
Professionally, Ariel is currently applying the skills learned at MTCNE as a teacher assistant in a Primary environment at MSGH.
Reflections on MTCNE Training
Reflecting on the time spent at MTCNE, Ariel notes that the program offered a fresh perspective on childhood potential. “What first stood out to me about AMI was the way the children are treated with such respect,” Ariel shares. Ariel emphasizes that while children are often underestimated, the AMI Primary training consistently demonstrated just how capable they are through lectures and work presentations. The scientific foundation of the pedagogy also made a strong impact. “There is a lot of thought that goes into how materials are presented to the children,” Ariel explains. “Seeing that the procedures are based on Maria Montessori’s own scientific observation really spoke to me”.
Looking Ahead
Describing the experience at MTCNE as “unique,” Ariel notes that the training “opened my eyes to limitless possibilities when it comes to children”. Ariel wholeheartedly recommends the program to anyone looking to pursue a career in education.
